Title: Cyber Service Delivery Manager
Start Date: January 2018
Tell us "your story."
I came to Avalon from an in-house legal department for a fortune 500 Company in January 2018. My previous experience was focused on project management, identification, preservation, and collection of electronic discovery (first half of the EDRM), digital forensics, and cyber security incident response (from a company’s perspective). I interviewed with Avalon for a Project Manager position after one of Avalon’s sales representatives I knew recommended to do so, but unfortunately did not have the experience in review platforms and the latter half of the EDRM to meet the position requirements. The VP and CIO fortunately saw promise in me and a need within the department for which they created a new role that I then filled - Project Coordinator. I immediately gained knowledge in the areas I had not previously been exposed to while applying the skills and mastery in legal technology and project management I had obtained over the years and began filling in for the Project Managers as needed. I was later approached regarding the Cyber Service Delivery Manager role and moved into the position in November 2018. Today I serve in both the Cyber Service Delivery Manager role and Project Coordinator position for our eDiscovery department (as my time permits). I have learned so much from my co-workers in both departments and could not be more grateful for their guidance; we truly teach each other a great deal daily. My main focus today is cyber, and I could not be more thrilled to be on this journey. I also recently graduated from Wake Forest Law School with my Master of Studies in Law where I took courses in cyber security, corporate compliance, public and private law, and more. I look forward to using my experience, skills, and education to further assist Avalon in meeting its goals to best serve our clients, work as a team, and grow our business.
